Plumbing and heating firm
Eleven pages for a firm whose old site stayed 960 pixels wide on a phone.

The brief
A master craftsman's firm with two separate crews: one installs, one maintains. That division is exactly the argument that wins property managers — and the old site never mentioned it.
Decisions
- 01
Every service shows its route
Installation, maintenance, emergency — each service says which crew takes it and what happens next.
- 02
Opening status in three stages
Open, later on Tuesdays, emergency cover at the weekend. The top of the page carries the answer, not the weekly table.
- 03
Eleven pages instead of a list of links
The old site sent phones to a second site holding 518 characters of text. Every service now has its own page that Google can find separately.
- 04
The number is a call
It appeared four times on the old site — not once as something you could tap.
Result
Everything from the old site is carried over, plus an imprint and privacy policy, both of which returned nothing at all on their mobile site.
- Home page on a phone
- 69 KB, not 719 KB
- Requests on load
- 11, not 31
- Third-party servers
- 0, not 3
